Why I Want to Be a Teacher

I choose the profession of teaching, because I want to be able to help my students to appreciate the English language, as much as I do. I want to teach my passion for book to my students, encourage them to read and show them how to read in a way in which they can appreciate it and can began to like reading as much as I do. My goal is to be an example my students can look up to. I want my students to see in me, what I saw from one of my professor in the university who help me realize what I wanted to do with my life. Whenever I was with that professor, all I saw was a friend, someone that respected my ideas, but also corrected my when I was wrong.
I want my students to be people with conscience and people that do thing the best way the can. When I become a teacher, I'll be a teachers that expect respect from the students. I want to be a friend, but never loosing the control over them. I want to be able to explain and give whatever knowledge I have to them, but so that they can create their own knowledge. I want my students to learn in my classroom with a healthy environment and for them to feel comfortable enough that they express themselves in a open way.
